If you’re having trouble seeing the screen on your Vivo Y33s, or if it isn’t working at all, there’s a good chance that you need to replace the LCD screen. As long as you have basic soldering skills and the right replacement LCD screen, you can replace this screen on your own without having to take your phone to a repair shop. Replacing the screen on your Vivo Y33s is also much cheaper than taking it in to get fixed!
Things you need
-A new LCD screen
-A set of small Phillips head screws
you’ll need a SIM card ejector tool or a paperclip
-A suction cup
-A case opening tool (optional)
First, you need to disassemble the phone. Start by removing the back cover and battery. Then, remove the SIM card tray and unscrew the ten screws holding down the motherboard. Gently pry up the motherboard to disconnect it from the front panel assembly.
Step 1: Shut down your phone and remove the battery
Begin by powering down your phone. Once it’s off, remove the back cover of the phone and then take out the battery. With the back cover and battery removed, you should now see the phone’s LCD screen.
Step 2: Gently pry up the LCD panel
Use a spudger or your fingernail to gently pry up the black plastic piece that runs along the top of the phone. The LCD panel is glued to this piece, so be careful not to damage it as you pry it up. You may need to use a little force to get the panel started, but be careful not to bend it.
Step 3: Remove the screws holding the old screen in place
You will need to disassemble your phone to get to the old screen. First, remove the screws holding the old screen in place. Next, disconnect the cable that connects the screen to the motherboard. Finally, remove the old screen and be careful not to damage the LCD replacement.
Step 4: Remove the old display by lifting it off its hinge
You will need to first disassemble the phone in order to access the LCD screen. The process is different for each phone, but usually involves removing the back panel and unscrewing the old display. Once you have removed the old display, you can carefully lift the new one into place and screw it in. Make sure to reconnect any cables that may have come loose during the process.
Step 5: Put new display into position
Now it’s time to lcd replacement. Carefully place the new display into position, making sure that all the connector pins are lined up correctly. You may need to use a little force to get the display seated properly. Once the display is in place, replace the screws and/or clips that hold it in place.
Step 6: Reinstall screws
Step 1: Reinstall the screws you removed. Make sure that the top screws are tightened first before working your way down. Once all the screws are in power on your phone to make sure that the LCD replacement was successful.
Step 7: Insert SIM card, connect the charger, and power on
Before you can start using your new LCD screen, you’ll need to insert your SIM card and connect a charger. Once the phone is powered on, you should see the display working properly. If not, be sure to check all the connections and make sure the screen is properly seated in the frame.
